: just in time for the holiday selling season, samsung can sell its galaxy tablet again in the u.s. a california federal court lifted the sales ban late yesterday. in june, a judge temporarily stopped galaxy sales as samsung and apple fought a patent case in court. in august a jury ruled the south korean company's tablet computer did not infringe on apple's patents. the galaxy 10.1 is an older model, but analysts say it still could deliver big sales for samsung over the holidays. now, what do apple, coca-cola, and ibm have in common? each earned the top three spots on interbrand's annual best global brands list. coca-cola is holding steady at number one for the 12th year in a row. but apple, the maker of the popular iphones and ipads, is close on its heels, jumping to number two thanks to stellar global sales. while tech companies dominate half of the top ten positions on the list, blackberry finds itself at the bottom, plummeting to 93 as the company struggles to reinvent itself. >> down the table, and by no means a prediction of future movement. it's about products, people, cultu

true than when you saw facebook. when you look at apple i want to be able to buy a samsung phone. i want to buy something other than apple. i'm caught in the ecosystem. we had a conversation where i said i want to get the samsung galaxy in october but maybe i am better off getting the ipad mini because everything else is apple related. so i think you are getting to a point where the retail audience is a little bit fed up with the whole ecosystem running their life. >> that is a great point. i bought a samsung series 9 laptop and i bought a galaxy 3 s. i hate both of them. my whole family is locked into this ecosystem and i wanted to like this stuff. to your point you made a great point -- the piece was great. remember this is a hardware company for the most part here and there has never been a hardware company in the history of the world and you have been covering these that hasn't seen these margins come in at some point. how is samsung going to compete? they are going to compete on price price. >> one of the other points is it is not a big enough difference. i am still on the ipho

could be more sustainable. >> samsung has filed a motion with the u.s. court at apple's iphone 5 to their ongoing patent battle. they filed a motion yesterday with a california court alleging apples iphone 5 and fringes on eight of its patents. samsung release a statement saying " we have always preferred to compete with the marketplace with our innovative praguproducts instead of an the court room. the company went on to say it little choice now but to take the steps necessary to can't protect our innovations and intellectual property rights. apple is confirming there is a bug that is causing some of their phones to consume major amounts of cellular data. it is happening even when the phones are hitched up with y 5. apple has not commented on how widespread the problem is that it did issue a software update over the weekend that should fix the issue. this should help rise in and possibly at&t users as well. >> a great deal here from christie fields, it look at how come the bay says. let's just shows you the warm air is in place. and the diablo wins are not kicking in. hot temperatu
